CTI Partners with University of Nairobi - Kisumu Campus

University of Nairobi – Kisumu Campus has partnered with The Regional Center for Project Management & Evaluation Training (RECEPMET) and Carnegie Training Institute (CTI Investments Limited) with the view of delivering relevant and impactful courses to students across the globe.

Students from across the globe will be able to register for, attend classes and get certifications on specific selected Artificial Intelligence courses offered through this partnership.

Students will acquire technical competency through hands-on online labs. There will be short courses (taking at most 2 weeks) and slightly longer certifications (taking not more than 3 months)

2. Certificate of Competence in Data Analytics with Python
3. Certificate of Competence in Visualization and Dashboarding

What is a Bootcamp

A bootcamp is a specialized intensive training that covers different aspects of a specific Artificial Intelligence related topic/aspect.

Transforming your professional outlook can be quick and easy thanks to bootcamps.

Various bootcamps have different time durations. Some are organized as daily workshops, weekly or monthly programs and in addition, it does not require previous qualifications.

What is a practical lab environment

A practical lab environment is where you will have your personal account to write code online and practice the concepts being taught during class as well as during the bootcamps.

It saves you the headache of installing and troubleshooting errors when you do installations in your own laptop. I comes pre-configured with the correct installations relevant to the course or exercise that you are trying to learn.

What kind of Certificate will be issued

For the bootcamp, certificates are optional. Those who wish to have certificates at the end of the bootcamps will need to make a payment of 999/=

They will have access to the practical lab environment, they will do exercises and do online exams / quizzes and a transcript of their performance will be generated which will be attached together with the certificate of attendance (in the case of a bootcamp) and certificate of competence (in the case of any other course).

If you don’t need the practical lab environment as well as the certificate at the end of the session, you can attend the bootcamp absolutely FREE of charge

All issued certificate will be offered jointly between CTI and UoN – Kisumu Campus.

What certifications / courses are available

For a start there exist only three certifications (certification courses) and several other short courses (please refer to short courses section).

What is Algorithm Bootcamp

An algorithm bootcamp is an intensive 4 hour session where we look at specific algorithm within the Data Science / Machine Learning space, build a model using the algorithm and understand various concepts about the algorithm from beginning to the end.

How do I make payments for the Courses and Bootcamp

Each learner will be issued a Learner Number e.g. CTI-UON-XXXX and this will be used to make payments through CTI’s Official Paybill Number which is as below:

After registering and making payment for any course, do I still need to pay for the bootcamp?

No. If you register for any course offered at CTI, you will not need to make any payment for any bootcamp. You qualify to attend any bootcamp for FREE for the duration of your ACTIVE course program.
